Zak and Jack in Showdown at Monstertown is a shoot ’em up game for kids.
Zak and Jack have built a very comfortable city, crowded with their inventions. Envious monsters is trying to destroy that city. It is up to you to help Zak and Jack to defend their city against the monsters' attack. To do so, you will need to operate the elevator that holds the gun, aim at your enemies and shoot them before they cause any damage.
You will have to repel the attack of Rhinosaurs, Robocopters, Swelloons, and other beasts. When hit, some monsters will release power-ups that you must catch if you want to benefit from them. Remember, only green power-ups are safe, the red ones will harm you in some way. The green power-ups will give you more strength, extra lives, or they will enhance your weapon’s performance. One of them will even allow you to unleash a devastating storm that will wipe out all enemies on the screen.
You will be fighting waves of enemies. At the end of each level you will see how many enemies you've shot, how many bonus you've caught, your total points, and your rank. You will also need to defeat five bosses, who will be more powerful than your regular enemies.
